How I Rate My Books

As I continue to keep track of all the books I have read and put a little more thought in how I feel about the books, I have updated how I rate books. I’ll list them down below so you can gain an understanding of why I chose to rate a book this many stars.

• FIVE STARS: My soul has been irrevocably changed and there is no getting back to the way it was before. My whole world is now this book and you MUST read this book.
• FOUR STARS: This is a really good book, but it didn’t rewire the nerves in my brain. However, I will still recommend it to you.
• THREE STARS: This is a meh book. It is okay, but I feel like there is something more needed for it. Will still probably recommend it.
• TWO STARS: It needs a lot of work, but there is a good structure somewhere.
• ONE STAR: I tried my best to power through and I finished it, but at what cost? Will not recommend it to you.
• DNF: Did not finish. Will talk your ear off about why I think it isn’t a good read, so just take my word for it when I say DNF.

My Review Policy:

I am more than happy to review books you recommend. However, I will not read books from the horror genre (I am too much of a scaredy cat to even crack open one book) and I might be convinced to read a thriller.

I do not accept any AI work as they steal works from real, hard-working artists.

When reading books, it can take me anywhere from two to three weeks to read a book and then an additional two to three days to review said book. This is so I can carefully think of how I felt about the book and how to convey my thoughts so that readers can read and understand my opinions of the book.
